I decided to train as a celebrant so that I could offer people an alternative to a traditional religious ceremony. Enabling people to come together to say goodbye in a way that truly reflects their loved one’s life and celebrates all that that person was, their loves, life and relationships.
The ceremony can be as formal or informal as you would like and can include relatives and friends if they so wish. We can include music, poetry, readings that reflect not only the person lost, but how family and friends are feeling.
I have lived in Rotherham most of my life, and prior to retirement, had a long career working with children, young people, and families.
I offer good communication skills, knowledge, and 4 years’ experience in conducting funeral ceremonies and most importantly, a listening ear.
Arranging a funeral is one of life’s most stressful events, I will work with you to help and guide to ensure that the service I deliver gives comfort to those left behind and truly reflects the person who has died. The ceremony will be unique, as each person is unique. I will focus on the person, how they lived their life, what they meant to everyone who knew them.
